Marco Pierre White, the Rasputin of London dining, is a fiery former three-star chef who now owns 11 highly rated restaurants. White, 39, lives in Holland Park, likes the high life - hunting, shooting, fishing - and is on his third marriage. Nico Ladenis has also had three Michelin stars. He opened his first restaurant, Chez Nico, in 1973 and famously decreed that no diner could have a second G&T, get the lighting altered or ask for salt. Now 67, he lives in France. Old friends, the two men are among the most astute and outspoken operators in town.
